Live telephone interview on Hope FM

This morning at 9.10 a.m. I was live on air speaking to the very friendly Sheena Dayman of Hope FM, a community radio station that broadcasts to Bournemouth (Dorset, UK) and the surrounding area, and over the Internet. Running (and completing) a 5 km Charity Run

The run started at 6.45 p.m. at Exeter Quay and was adjacent to the Canal. I didn’t manage to fall in the canal and I completed the run, feeling very hot and tired, in 28 minutes which, for me, is pretty good (for someone who is actually fit, this would be seen as a rather dismal but I’m pleased anyway).

This season’s featured song: “I’m a Jesus Fan”

It’s world cup season, so this is the perfect time for churches, Sunday schools, kids clubs etc to sing out “I’m a Jesus Fan”. Therefore, I’ve provided lead music, lyrics and a special FREE MP3 download of a shorter congregational version of this song on a special page. So wave those scarves in the air, stamp you feet to the rhythm and chant "What a Champion" with hoards of other Jesus Fans, and make that stadium shake. The full version of the song with fanfare intro, instrumental section, “Go, Jesus Go” chant and announcements is on my CD “All Aboard the Heaven Express”.

HOT NEWS: New Charity Christmas CD release

Each year I intend to release a Christmas CD single or E.P. with the entire sale proceeds going towards a charitable cause.

This year entire proceeds from "Chris Medway's First Christmas EP" will go towards a fund to help a local girl, Jasmine Flay, receive specialist treatment in America for a type of cancer that does not respond to chemo or radio therapy. More details are on www.achance4jasmine.org.uk.

Although, the treatment at The National Institute of Health in Bethesda, Washington DC is free there are enormous travelling and accommodation costs for Jasmine and her family for initial receive initial treatment and follow up evaluations. The initial 12 week course of treatment began on 29th November 2010. In addition to this, Jasmine will require follow up evaluations at 8 week intervals for the next five years which will involve lots of travelling to and from Washington DC.

The CD contains a my own Christmas Carol "A Love Gift From Heaven", a vibrant Irish-style jig called  "The Grand Festive Roast Chestnut Jig" (my personal favourite) plus a chill-out ambient synth instrumental of the children's carol "Away in a Manger". So it’s full of seasonal charm and festive cheer and is available from my shop.

HOT NEWS: One of my songs is going to be in the Spring Harvest kids songbook

Found out today that “For God Loved the world so Much” (the third song from “All Aboard the Heaven Express”) will feature in the 2011 Kids songbook for Spring Harvest, probably the biggest Christian event in the UK. I have also volunteered to help out at the event on week two at Minehad for the 8-11 year olds. Should be great fun!!

NEW PROJECT: Electronica Dane Music under the pseudonym “CosmoMose”

I’ve always like electronic music and synthesizers and fx. So I have started recording under the pseudonym “CosmoMoose” (rather than using my real name - although the initials are the same).
